Abby Day!

On my calendar today it says "Abby Day!!" So over to Abby's I went this morning with Kaia. As I arrived, I saw that our friend Melissa & her handsome baby boy were joining us!! Kaia & Dominic went down for a nap shortly after arriving, and all of us girls headed into the dining room to do some sewing. Abby has been making and selling these terrific, reusable snack and sandwich bags that you can find here (I think I might also use some of the snack bags to organize Kaia's diaper bag). I thought it would be fun to cut out the bags, chat with Abby & Melissa and watch with wonder as Abby used her serger to stitch them up. Fun it was, but I only got to cut out two bags. Abby helped me to make a pillowcase dress for Kaia! With Abby's help and an old pillowcase, it was super easy!! Thank you Abby!!! Melissa was working on these great fabric books for Dominic. Apparently there's cloth attached to paper that you can print on! So Melissa made her own book for Dominic complete with pictures of family. What a lucky boy!

So, Happy Abby Day everyone! Can't wait for the next one...
