ade it back to San Diego, long overdue. What a wonderful time we had as a family. As we were planning this trip, we invited my sister and her family & my parents to join us. My parents were the only ones able to come and drove out a day before our flight. We stayed at a great little place in Encinitas - great value - and only two blocks from the beach!It was such an amazing time... I was surprised with how much I was able to trul
y relax. We had lots of fun with my parents, our talented & beautiful friend Christy, David's childhood best friend, David Lothspeich and his family (wife: Megan; kids: David Jr. & Serenity), and Danny (David L.'s brother). It was great that David was able to spend a lot of time with the Lothspeich's. We don't see them nearly as much as we would like. Nevertheless, we really enjoy hanging out with all of them, especially since David L's family is so sweet & fun to be around.
Well the beach/ocean is always the highlight of our trip. This year was no different. Coronado Island has o
ne of my favorite beaches. It was Kaia's first time at the beach. It was the happiest I've ever seen her in her life, and she's a happy girl generally. We cancelled other plans in order to have more beach days after seeing her initial reaction. So fun seeing her rake her hands through the sand, laugh as I bury her feet, and dance & squeal as the water washed upon her feet.
