My friend, Craig

I'm completely addicted to Craigslist! For those of you unfamiliar with the site, "Craigslist is a central network of online communities, featuring free online classified advertisements." I love looking at the baby/kids section on almost a daily basis. You select the city you live in and see what people locally are looking to buy as well as to sell - basically a virtual garage sale, but with better quality items than the typical garage sale. Found a lot of great things for Kaia this way for 1/2 price or better!

Through this, I've met some really nice people in Tucson and Vail (mostly moms and grandmas)...and now have 5 strollers. What?! Five strollers!! Okay, here's the break down: we're borrowing a stroller/car seat system from our friend Katie, but she's prego so I've been looking for a good deal and found the system that was on our registry...came with the carseat, stroller and one base. It was such a deal (about 1/3 of the original price), in great condition, and had been used for only 7 months by the former owner, so I bought that. Then I saw the same system (different color scheme) again online but it came with 2 bases. A new base is $70 and this set would only be $30 more than the 1st set I bought. So, I thought, "Hmmm, I'll just sell the first system I bought and use this new set." It won't be a problem to sell since I got such an amazing deal in the first place. Then I saw a jogging stroller for $20 - the upholstery and wheels were in good condition, so I bought that - oh, and this is considered a REALLY good price even for craigslist. My friends, like Christe, thought that was an amazing deal. So when I saw another jogging stroller (ours is grey, not blue like the link shows) for $20 (great condition), I thought I'd get it...give one to Christe if she wants it, or I could sell the one I liked least. Oh, and the 2nd jogging stroller was the same seller as the 2nd stroller/car seat system, so that made it nice and easy. Her name (the seller) is Jennifer, and I really liked her and we'll probably hang out next week - each of us has a sister in town and they're both going to come too with their kidos. Anyway, that's where I am now as a proud owner of too many strollers and potentially another friend or two. One of our friends is interested in the first system, so we'll let them see it before posting it to Craig's List, and I'm planning on giving Christe one of the jogging strollers. And Katie will get hers back soon, so then we'll be down to 2, one regular and one jogging. Phew...

I am also a confessed craigslist addict. This week I got a leapfrog learn and groove table for $20 (which James LOVES) and a Crate and Barrel Trivoli 5-bowl set for $20. Next on your stroller list will be a double stroller! I've been on the hunt for a cheap Phil and Ted's (http://www.philandteds.com/classic_index.htm) but I don't think cheap ones exist!
